A message from the President of the Franklinville-Schwarzwald Männerchor

Dear Friends,
We’d love to see you at our annual spring concert this Sunday, May 5th, 2pm, at the Vereinigung Erzgebirge, 130 Davisville Rd., Warminster, PA 18974.

With guest chorus the Damenchor Wald-Echo, we’ll present traditional Männerchor and Damenchor music, classical works, and popular pieces, mostly in German (but a few in English!), with lively introductions and translations. We’ll even sing a new piece written especially for us! As a special treat, both choirs will join in celebrating the 100th anniversary of Sigmund Romberg’s The Student Prince—the most popular Broadway show of the 1920s.

It’s all directed by Jacqueline Smith, with Barron Lacy, piano.

We are the Männerchor in Philadelphia and beyond, carrying on the great tradition of the very best in German Männerchor music—there’s nothing like that sound! We’ve sung at the Phillies for the last few years and all over the area in this, our busiest year ever, but our annual Spring Concert at the V.E., our home base, is something special and we’d love to see you there.
Dinner and refreshments are available for purchase. As always, there’s dancing afterward, with music provided by accordionist Don Bitterlich. Directions and map are here. It is always a fun time!

Tickets are only $12—reserve them by calling Rudi Trickel, 215-514-2483. Seats and tables are going so please call in the next 48 hours. Hope to see you at the V.E. on Sunday, May 5th, at 2pm!
All the best,Kile
