  • VE U16 National Presidents Cup Champs!

Congratulations to VE’s U-16 Boys team for winning the National Championship of USYSA’s National President’s Cup on Sunday, July 15th in Westfield, Indiana. VE defeated Heat FC from Nevada, 2 to 1. VE’s goals were scored by Shane Collier and Sean McCartney. This is the first National Championship by a VE team in either youth or adult competition. A year ago, this same VE team came in fourth in the National competition held in Florida. This year, in addition to being National Champions, they also won the State and Regional championships. The team was coached by Fran Weiss and Dan Metz. Their regular coach, Rob Weber, was touring Germany with our U-18 Boys team. The U-16 Boys team consists of: Keith Charlton, Shane Collier, Aiden Healy, Tyler Holman, Stefan Lyntton, Sean McCartney, Sean Metz, Kolby Palmer, Kevin Ralston, Johan Rodriques, Christopher Rowland, Benjamin Scary, Justin Stone, Dylan Swedberg, Cameron Weber, Benjamin Weir, Jacob Weiss. In addition to the U-16 Boys team, our U-18 Girls team, coached by Mike Serban, also participated in the National President’s Cup competition. They finished in third place. Congratulations to both teams for a job well done representing themselves and VE.
